POSTAGE & HANDLING
14/9/22 - I had initially set up postage with Sendle, but after two weeks of sending out parcels I have found that Australia Post may be a better option.
I realise that the postage cost generated by my website for some smaller items like a couple of coasters comes up at $9.70. These could be sent out in a large envelope for less but there is no way I can enter this as an option in the shipping set up….grrrr!
So, if you are shopping and only want smaller items I am working on how to set this up.
18/9/22…..still working on it……in the meantime I have “hidden” the coasters until I work out the best way to offer lower postage. They will be put back up when I have a solution. Thanks for your patience!
5/12/22….Coasters are back up. I have not been able to include a lower price for postage other than a small satchel in the Squarespace web design. Therefore, once an order is placed and paid for I will calculate the actual cost for, say, a set of two coasters, and refund any excess charge back to you. This is not ideal, I know, so will keep researching a way to include a different postage category.
Fast Forward to 10/10/23…..I am still not sure I have mastered the whole Postage & Handling area of the website. As mentioned above:
………..if what I have set up means you are charged for and pay more than it costs me when I take your order to the post office, I will send you a refund for the difference. However, rest assured that if I have underestimated postage costs I will NOT be chasing you for more money!!
